Our Mission

Midwest Liber Families is an association of liber communities which foster virtue, statesmanship and strong families.

What we do

We promote the principles of Leadership Education outlined in the book "A Thomas Jefferson Education" by Oliver DeMille. We do this by sponsoring Youth Leadership Clubs, supporting communities, and providing important experiences and training at our annual Midwest TJEd Forum.

What is Liber?

"If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be." - Thomas Jefferson

Liber is the root for liberty. To become Liber means to have the education to be free. We believe that this is the kind of education the Founding Fathers of our country possessed, and it was this education that enabled them to found a nation in which there was greater opportunity for freedom then there ever had been before. It was accompanied by prosperity the likes of which the world has never seen.

Sadly, this education has been lost to our society now, and we fear that if it is not soon restored, we will continue to lose our liberties, and never regain them. We hope that if our children become Liber, they will be able to restore what the Founders instituted.

Midwest Liber Families understands that if we want our children to become Liber, we must lead the way, and become Liber ourselves.
